 We offer 8 cabins to rent in Ontario on Lake of the Woods. You can plan a Canadian fishing trip unsurpassed by any other at Indianhead Lodge. The lake spans  65,000 miles of shoreline and creates adventures to please everyone.  It has over 14,000 islands which invites the most breathtaking scenery. Fishing in Canada on Lake of the Woods is a highly satisfying experience for those looking to land a trophy walleye, smallmouth bass, largemouth bass, northern pike, muskie, lake trout, crappie, perch or whitefish. This lake also offers experiences for sailing, cruising, scuba diving, snorkeling, swimming, canoeing, kayaking, or any water sport you can think of. All the islands are an excellent place for the adventurous people who like to explore. Where else can you have it all?

The resort is located 9 kilometres or 6 miles south of the quaint little town of Sioux Narrows, Ontario, Canada. We are nestled on Snake Bay right off of the famous Whitefish Bay on Lake of the Woods. This section of the lake has crystal clear water and has depths of over 100′, housing some of the largest fish on this lake.

Our remote family owned and operated resort has the atmosphere of home. This resort was established in the 1920’s. We are the fifth owners and have been here since 1990. Starting in 1996 we began a process of tearing down the old and replacing it with new. No more rustic cabins which just meant old. We have eight cabins to rental. All are fully housekeeping although we do have a dining room and offer meal plans to those you just want to relax and do no cooking themselves. Along with all our cabins being rebuilt, we built a new fish cleaning house and dock store in 2006. Our docks and pier are always being upgraded. Every year we upgrade or build new docks. In 2006 we extended our pier which made it much larger. We now have an 8-seater hot tub and new lounge chairs and tables with umbrellas on the new pier overlooking the lake for your comfort. It is very important to us to make your trip here everything you want it to be.

We have a sandy beach with a kayak, canoe, paddle boat, all free to use. There is also a recreational games room free to use with a pool table, Fooz Ball, board games and play station. For those exercise enthusiasts we have a Life Cycle and a state of the art BowFlex Ultimate Two.

Although Lake of the Woods has many businesses and cottages there is still more land and islands with nothing but trees and rocks than there are with buildings. It is so large that everything is spread out. The land is mostly owned by the government and not allowed to be sold so the area stays very remote and pristine. Make no mistake – sometimes when you’re out on the water in your boat you won’t see another boat around at all.

Lake of the Woods Cottage Rentals

At Indianhead lodge we have eight cabins near the shores of Lake of the Woods. They range from smaller two bedrooms that sleep 4-6 persons, to large two bedrooms that sleep 6-8 persons. We even have 2 storey three bedroom cabins that sleep 10-16 persons. All our cabins have full kitchens, and livingrooms with LCD HD televisions with over 400 channels. They all have full bathrooms. Some have screened in decks, and some have sun decks. They all have propane BBQ’S. Seven of our cabins have fireplaces. One has it’s own whirlpool tubs for relaxing after that long day of fishing.
